We use methods to establish competency against the learning outcomes or National/Caribbean Occupational standards and offer qualification recognition based on the level of competency.

National/Caribbean Vocational Qualification (N/CVQ)

The Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology (SJPI) has been approved N/CVQ Centre since 2007.

What is a Caribbean/National Vocational Qualification?

National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) and CVQ (Caribbean Vocational Qualifications) are work based qualifications that assess the skill and knowledge people need to have in order to perform their job effectively.

N/CVQ levels
Level 1 – Entry level/Direct Supervision needed
Level 2 – Skilled occupation
Level 3 – Technical and supervisory occupations
Level 4 – Technical specialists and middle management occupations
Level 5 – Chartered, professional and senior management occupations
