Users of the Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology’s Media Resource Centre can access our resources and conduct searches through our Integrated Library Management Software (KOHA). Koha is an open-source library automation software, used by over 3,000 academic, public, special libraries and resource centres around the world.
Patrons can use this new service to search online for resources by title, author, subject, ISBN, ISSN, series or call number. Patrons can also conduct searches for item types such as fiction and non-fiction books, pamphlets, reference and West Indian Collection. Our knowledgeable staff will give guidance in the use of the online catalogue and explain how to locate the resources and information required to complete their research, assignments and projects.
This system also provides patrons with the opportunity to view their patron record, request, or place a hold on material, add an item to your reading list or place an item in their cart. This is available to patrons either on campus or remotely. Click here to access Koha Library Management System.
This resource is provided through the EBSCO Host database platform. Take advantage of browsing and searching scholarly information via this leading educational database. There is access to over 300,000 full text eBooks and audio-book titles as well as journals and other research resources. Click on the EBSCO icon above to access the database.
